另外新增了歷史圖庫影像,可以在同一區做歷史和現在的比較!

Titanic Wreck in 3D in Google Earth 5

Last week when Google launched Google Earth 5, the world not only got 3D undersea terrain, and an ocean surface. According to GEB reader Daniel P. some undersea wrecks are sitting in 3D on the sea bottom. For example, you can see the wreck of the Titanic [Google Earth Required. You must have GE installed.] (as many know, it broke into two main parts). You have to turn on the "3D Buildings" layer folder to see the wreck. Also available is the wreck of the Bismark (48°10′N 16°12′W).

It will be interesting to see the ocean floor populated with many wrecks, and maybe even roughly modeled coral reefs. Thanks for the tip Daniel!

By the way, sorry for the low number of posts. I've just finished sailing a boat down to Miami and will be attending the boat show there this weekend. 上Google Earth 聲稱找到藏寶沉船？

美國洛杉磯音樂人納桑．史密斯（Nathan Smith）使用「Google地球」
（Google Earth）端詳德州海岸沼地，
疑似發現沉船地點，如果按照檔案這真的是一艘十九
世紀初沉沒的西班牙三桅大帆船，船上應載有大批金銀
等財寶，估價可能達卅億美元（約台幣一千零廿四億元）
。目前史密斯、疑似沉船地地主及德州政府各執一詞，
正等候法院裁定。

　史密斯看過電影《國家寶藏》之後，變成尋寶迷，
一天他用「Google地球」軟體的航照圖不經意觀看德州
「亞蘭索峽道」以北、名叫「三桅船溪」的地點，突然
發現一處鞋印似的痕跡，疑似沉船。

　史密斯先徵詢專家意見，再帶著金屬探測器前往當地，
結果認定，自己發現一艘一八二二年沉沒於當地的西班牙
三桅大帆船，而船上的金銀估計價值卅億美元。然而，
疑似沉船地點目前為私人農場土地，農場主人已拒絕讓
史密斯踏上當地，因此衍發的爭執，目前已移交休士頓市
的聯邦法院審理。

　史密斯的律師團表示，已命名為「史密斯對沉船」
（Smith vs Abandoned Ship）的本案，關鍵點在沉船
地點，該泥濘沼地究竟算不算可行船的航道。如果算，
那麼依美國法律，最先發現沉船寶藏的人得向聯邦法院
及「美國陸軍工兵署」申請許可，打撈沉寶。但假如當地
被視為陸地，那麼所有權則屬農場主人家族。
